After 6 hours on the Himalayan Express we joined the Toy Train to Shimla. It looked like something out of Noddy with the small seats and narrow compartments but the breath-taking mountain views more than made up for any discomfort. We sat opposite a family who ate non-stop for the whole 6 hours - silver containers full of curries, rice and naan, biscuits, sweet rice balls, more curries, rice, naan.... We were envious as all we had was a bunch of bananas and a packet of 'salties' biscuits. Luckily there were lots of stops along the way for...
