Mumbai: India's Hong Kong, the commercial center of the nation, and arguably least Indian of Indian establishments. We flew into the metropolis near the middle of the morning, and were greeted by Nazanin, a friend of Danny's, who kindly picked us up from the airport. Jan 6, 2004 - Arrival

On arriving at Mumbai (out of date map) one of my first impressions was the complete and utter chaos which passed for traffic. This was after refusing to tip a pathetic local who expected money for trying to lift my bag off my shoulder and place it into the open boot. There are no lanes in India, but many vehicles, all trying to be first, and all refusing or unable to use mirrors and indicators and only resorting to using the brake in extreme circumstances. Genty's Asia - 2004

Dec 19, 2003 - Mumbai domestic and international airport terminals

We had already decided that we didn't have enough time to visit Mumbai (Bombay) and faced with a 17 hour train journey we decided to treat ourselves to a flight from Udaipur to Mumbai. Timings were great as the flight was due to arrive at 21:30 which would mean we would only have a 4.5 hour wait in the airport until we could check in for our flight at 05:05 to Bangkok. Not worth the cash paying for a hotel either. Hence that is why there are no photos for Mumbai - the only amusing thing we encountered was a lounge for the physically...
