Jun 22, 2011 - Our first look at Hungary

Our boat travelled through the night (as it does) from one country to another, changing from Croatia to Hungary. Once again there was customs control at the border, and the crew of the boat went through the formalities on our behalf. Thank goodness as it was between the hours of 2.30-6am. This meant that we arrived at our next destination later than scheduled but nothing planned was altered except for putting it on a little later. Aug 19, 2009 - Szentendre, Hungary

We decided to venture outside the Budapest city centre and use our Budapest pass that entitles you to free travel on public transport. After a horrendous taxi outing yesterday afternoon where we took half an hour to travel 3 KM as the birds fly, this seemed our best option on our last full day in Budapest. May 30, 2009 - Beautiful Hungary

Saturday 23rd May. Well it may have rained last night but this morning the sun was shining in a near cloudless sky. Nothing has changed! After breakfast said goodbye to our hosts and headed for Kecskemet where the guidebook says there are some excellent Art Deco buildings and Pecs has stimulated Judy’s interest. Pecs itself was set in the centre of a small range of hills and indeed our Panzio (Pension) was half way up one with a great view over the city.
