This should be an interesting entry, as I've just finished a fantastic dinner with much to eat and drink, Our hotel put on a big buffet with local wine and a liquor called Mastica, which was very sweet and potent. Everyone was in good spirits after a fun day of exploring the old town and climbing the rock. Monemavia, known as the Gibraltar of Greece, is a large rock island just offshore. It's connected to the mainland by by a bridge. You then have to walk around to the seaward side of the rock to enter the old town, which is like entering...

We've been in Greece a fortnight now, and most of that time has been spent at the beach in Finikunda. It's so lovely and relaxing there, and the days have turned into those syrupy, languid ones where time just oozes by, where everything smells of sunshine, and where you can't quite believe how much time you can spend just sitting doing not much at all. Jul 24, 2008 - Greece

12 June to 17 July After a quick 40 minute ferry ride from Saranda, Albania we arrived in Corfu, Greece. We walked around a bit and found our way to the bus station near the old town to take us to Pelekas Village where we organised with a woman at a cafe for a room for 3 nights. It was really warm and muggy so it was wonderful to be near the beaches. In the afternoon we walked up to the site of Kaisers Throne which is 252m up and this gave us a great view of all of Corfu.
