Stefanos Harbour on Tilos is very small. Room for about 8 yachts but there is a large bay off a very pretty beach just outside the harbour for anchoring. We count 25 yachts at anchor. The population of the entire island is around 533! Mastodon bones – midget elephants that became extinct around 4600BC- were found on the island. We arrived early to get a spot on the harbor wall for two nights. Fantastic spot. Quite a few restaurants and tavernas but not large or cheap or tacky. Happy 4th of July everyone!! Andrea is going to be our guest writer for Tilos. I am sure I will have to edit and censor everything she says. Take it all with a grain of salt! We arrived on Tilos at 7:30 am on Monday after taking a 5:30 am ferry from Nisyros. Tilos is filled with British people who appear to be very comfortable there. We had a morning nap and then we tried to figure out how we were going to get out of Tilos and to Santorini.
