I arrived safe and sound after nearly 24 hours of traveling. The town of Hania (also spelled Chania, Hanea and Canea) is a beautiful old Venetian city, but it's been inhabited since the Paleolithic era. Minoans, Greeks, Romans, Venetians and Turks have all left their mark. I spent the day walking around, exploring the twisting little cobbled lanes and harbor.
