Sep 4, 2015 - Fielbingert and Bad Kreuznach

Fielbingert and Bad Kreuznach We were pretty lazy most of the time in Germany: long sleeps at night, short sleeps most afternoons, some exercise, good food and some wine. (Grammar does not let me have wine as I am only four sf) That is why I have not posted regular blogs. But after the fair on the first night, we did have some good adventures: We wandered around Fielbingert on foot a couple of times. The 40 km return bike ride to Ingelheim followed the Rhine and went on a roughish road through a nature preserve. It was lovely and cool under the trees and the views of the river were great. On the return, we took a more direct, and faster route along a paved...

Aug 28, 2015 - August 24 The Day of the Car & Bad Kreuznach Fair

August 24 The Day of the Car Grammar and I had a long, hard day traveling from the Ahlenius home in Sweden (Teslin, Hugo and kids) to the Wolf home in Germany (daughter-in-law Lina's parents Helmut and Suse) 6-9 am - driving rental car: lost page two of instructions for driving to Arlanda airport - found ourselves going with much traffic into downtown Stockholm - turned around - totally lost; so phoned Hugo from side of expressway while cars whizzed by - took cross-country small road to reach correct large highway to airport - stopped, got...
