Aug 18, 2005 - Frankfurt by J & CAR

Just to Clarify Christinas comment...Frankfurt was definitely a BORING city. Carissa and I stayed one extra night only because our friend Emily was there visiting her parents and we wanted to hang out with her. The three of us had alot of fun...we didn't get far from our hotel and went to an Irish pub for the night. There was karaoke...it was interesting...almost like being at home. SOOOO there was fun to be had, but ONLY because of eachothers company (and I suppose the booze), NOT the city!! Jill and Carissa!!!

May 12, 2005 - Germany, land of green. And rain.

We arrived in Germany on May 3, from Athens. It was such a pleasure to step out into moist, fresh air and the lush green countryside. The birds were singing, the sun was shining... Our aim was to spend some time visiting with members of Werner's family. We also needed to gather gear and prepare for the cycling portion of our trip. In spare time, maybe a bit of local touristing would do. First, we would like to say to all Albertans, if you are offered GPS in a rental car, TAKE IT! Alberta may be the only place in the world with grid pattern...
