We arrived to Hamburg after a week of couchsurfing/nasty hostel staying, so we were looking forward to staying in a nice, clean apartment with our own room almost as much as we were to seeing our great friend Svenni from the boat in Fiji. ... But not the adventure! After nearly two years, 45,000 Km and 14 countries we are flying back to Canada on April 18th. We are now back in "Hotel Poppenbuttel" near Hamburg staying with Brita and Gabriella, our friends, translators, tour guides, chefs and general safety nets! We are spending our time packing and organizing shipping for both Gypsy and our personal belongings that we are not allowed to leave in her while she crosses the Atlantic - and that includes obtaining and completing the shipping documents, a challenge in Canada but even more challenging when conducting the exchange in German! We have a permanent address effective mid April: RR1, Site 12, Comp 13, Madeira Park, BC VON 2HO Canada. ... Telephone number (604) 883 - 2957.But not the adventure! Back to another familiar city! We are beginning to feel very international having friends in all the big cities in Europe. We took advantage of our time in Hamburg to get our "walking legs" back. ...
