Oberammergau Back from our Italy trip, we decided to go down to the mountains at Oberammergau and try a walk. The family across the road have been a fantastic help for us. They have given us plenty of advice and helped out with the boys. They suggested a trip to Oberammergau, a chair lift ride and then a walk down to the monastery, dinner and back to the car. Aug 5, 2008 - We're off to Wangen

Wangen Awaits! After Bangkok we took a 7 hour flight to Daqar and had a stopover for a couple of hours. Just enough to use up the batteries in the boy's nintendos. Then we were on our flight to Munich for another 6 hours. The boys coped pretty well but were getting very tired by the time we arrived. We thought we had done well, but our last bag must have went via a different route because it took forvever to appear. By that stage Nathan is wanting to lie on the ground and go to sleep. Jul 17, 2007 - Day 07 - July 17 - Starnberger See

Day 7 - July 17 (Tuesday) Our last day in the Munich area has taken us to Starnbergsee, the lake district of Munich. We decided to make this a very low key day before our long drive to Prague tomorrow. At about 11am we thought it would be a good time to start our half hour drive to the lake. Today's another beautiful day in Munich and luckily not as hot as previous days. We decided to go to the south end of the lake via autobahn and then go upwards on the narrow lake roads.
