We spent Thursday in the city of Mainz. Unfortunately, the town was closed for the Feast of Corpus Christi. All shops and businesses except restaurants were closed so there was no shopping. We did go to the Gutenberg museum and see a demonstration of the printing press and copies of the Bible. Because it was the holiday, the tour did not go into the cathedral, however, we were lucky in that we were able to view the procession of the faithful Catholics, priests, school children, Catholic organizations, and cardinal as they processed with the...
