May 1, 2018 - Breitach Klamm and around the Engenkopf

Today we returned to Breitach Klamm. This time there was no queue for the carpark and definitely fewer people around. The gorge is one of the highlights of the area and was spectacular. It was quite scary to think that most of the gorge in 2006 was filled with water to a marker twice our heights – a one off occasion. It was interesting to see once again Germans walking through the gorge but very few taking photographs. Apr 28, 2018 - Walk to Christlessee

Today we walked a more straightforward walk from Oberstdorf to Christlesse, a small lake. Our walk followed the Tetach river so was quite shaded at times. We sat by the lake to have our lunch before taking the forest path back which gave us a panoramic view of the Herrliches Berg and as we entered the edge of Oberstdorf there was the Loretto chapels. In the evening we enjoyed a one hour free concert of trumpet and organ at the Immenstadt church.
