Jul 22, 2013 - Starzlach Klamm

22 July 2013 Morning saw us getting ourselves orientated, discovering information on the local area and also finding a hearing aid place as one of Tony’s hearing aids was not working. After a busy morning we decided we all needed a walk so we headed to just outside Sonthofen to the Starzlack Klamm. We had an enjoyable walk up a narrow gorge and then across alpine meadows with views of the mountains. A good first walk however not so good news about Tony’s hearing aid. We will have to send it back to the manufacturer in England to get it...

Jul 21, 2013 - Blaichach

We left the Bodensee area and headed east towards the Bavarian Alps. We took the longer route to avoid the hairpin bends and steep climbs and decent we had been advised were on the 308 from Lindau to Immenstadt. Our route took us through beautiful alpine scenery. Arriving at Blaichach just south of Immenstadt we had no problem in finding the stellplatz/campground. It was easy access and set up with the owners being very friendly and helpful. The campground was surrounded by the distant mountains and there was a lovely lake just below.
