Our next destination will be Vienna, where we are visiting family. With the GPS and Hartmut in the back seat, the drive back to Munich was quick and easy. ... In other places like Munich some of the buildings in the central area were lovingly rebuilt and preserved and that process goes on to the present day. ... Then we walked to Marienplatz, the downtown Munich spot where every tourist comes at noon to watch the glockenspiel rotate on the New Rathaus, a government building constructed in the 1800's to replace the nearby Old Rathaus originally constructed 500 years before. ... We visited the sights in Munich on Bike and perhaps because I did not have any expectations of the city I was pleasantly surprised. ... Munich is a very nice, clean, and bike friendly city that allowed us to visit everywhere we wanted with ease. ... A few of the places we visited were MarienPlatz (a pleasant square in the heart of Munich), went to the top of Perterplatz, which is a church that if you take the 10 flights up you have a wonderful panoramic view of the city, olympic park, English Garden, the university and a few other places I cannot remember the names, as my memory for German words is weak at best. ...
