Aug 15, 2011 - Tübingen and Schloss Hohentubingen

Tübingen is another old city. It first showed up in official records just before 1200 AD. It is believed that it was first settled by Romans long before this. Tübingen is a university town. One of its famous residents was Alois Alzheimer who of course if famous for identifying Alzheimer's. The city is divided by the Neckar River. This is a very Picturesque town with Flowers everywhere, it was left mostly alone during WWII because there is no industry in or near the city that was of any military interest. Aug 15, 2011 - Afternoon at Berg Hohenzollern

After our morning in Tübingen we returned to the house for Coffee and cake and to pick up Stephan. We were off to Castle Hohenzollern. This was a very interesting castle. Unfortunately no pictures were allowed to be taken inside. Barry and I have been to many castles and on many castle tours in our three visits to Europe. This castle tour was by far the best.
