With an exciting drive through the Alps and a twenty km tunnel underneath them, we emerged back in France to rolling hillside and slightly cooler skies ~32c, to land in Lyon. ... Hello again! So it is quite difficult to find internet cafes that let you upload photos onto public computers so I will try to find one soon so I can add some pictures to this! Pictures do say 1000 words after all! Anyways we left from Paris to Lyon on a late evening train and got into Lyon at about 10:30 at night. ... Wednesday we had the morning free so we bought a combined pass for Le Pont d'Avignon and Le Palais du Papes. We are now in Lyon, having taken the morning train, and are about to explore some of Old Lyon and the tourist area which is on an island between two rivers dissecting the old town from the business district of Lyon. ...
