After a leisurely breakfast we packed everything back up and set out for the lifts. We'd then be picked up by a shuttle bus for the trip back to Chamonix. ... He was right! Our waiter was a hoot! The shuttle arrived right on time and we set off for the 2 hour drive back to Chamonix through the Aosta valley. ... Well, here we are at the end of day 2, we haven’t left Chamonix yet and we’ve now used pretty much all of the new gear we bought. ... We were totally soaked by then but luckily a train arrived right away to take us back to Chamonix. ... After breakfast (where Bob L told us the secret to boiling the perfect egg at Chamonix elevation), we walked through Chamonix to the Aiguille du Midi Telepherique on the opposite side of the valley from Le Brevent. ...
