I didn't think I would ever get to the point of departure, the week leading up to my 'holidays' was just a whirlwind of activity. On the Sunday, I departed the dock in mild weather in Monaco and on my way down to St Laurent du Var to pick up the parents, I rounded the corner of Nice airport and saw two fellas partially swamped on a jet ski half heartedly calling me over.
