Aug 5, 2009 - St Remy to Graveson 15kms, Avignon to Paris

st Remy is a very busy little town and obviously a tourist haven. This morning we walked the Van Gogh trail, which has copies of paintings along it at intervals that he completed while he was in an Asylum here in 1889, shortly before his death in 1890. He largely painted scenes of the surrounding countryside. The walk began at the asylum which consists of beautiful old buildings and gardens. We then walked through all the markets (St Remy market day) before setting off on the short ride back to Graveson. Thankfully this was a downhill flat...
