Slept in until 11 am. Jet Lag sucks!!!! Hoped on a bus at noon to go to make perfume in Grasse ( a castle town about 15 miles away. Paid 1 euro but was stuck on a bus for an hour & a half. It was cool to see how the French people really live – outside of the tourist sections. * After hopping on a second bus & stressing because I had no idea where I was going – I made it to the Studio de Fragrances. Sep 9, 2006 - South of France - Provence

We spent a week in the South of France with Pete's two brothers and their other halves. We stayed in a villa about two hours northwest of Nice. It was an amazing week - good food, good wine and good company. The little French country villages were the hightlight. I was sad when the week had to end, but in two days I'm off to Scotland and Ireland for two weeks!

May 2, 2006 - The Verdon

A reaaaaaallly hard day! I'm Shattered. I've made it to a campsite 6km past Castellaine on the Route Napolean. I hope a massive bowl of spag bol and some choccie biscuits will sort me out. The Groge was amazing. A cross between the beauty of the Lot and the awesome scale of the Tarn Gorge. Provence has dissapointed me up till now but at the last minute it pulls it out of the bag.
