Having seen pictures of Èze, perched high above the coast, on the internet and having passed it from on the train many times we decided we should visit. However the station lies in Èze-sur-mer and it was a short walk (according to google) to the town above. Our first mistake was probably to underestimate this distance and our second to set out in the midday heat. The walk was epic. Oct 2, 2007 - A fabulous day in Eze Village

At this point in our trip we have seen some pretty incredible places, and our favorites had been till now Gourdon and St. Paul de Vence. But today we visited the very best - Eze Village - a stunning and nearly perfect "perched village". This is another one of those pedestrian towns, so we left our car at the foot of the village and started climbing the twisting narrow streets and stairs.
