Today’s Conference program included a hike up into the Pyrenees and a picnic lunch. So after updates from teams and prayers for them, we piled into all available vehicles and set off on our way. The plan was for the cars to drop those of us off who wanted to walk the 10 minutes along a wooded trail up to the picnic area while the cars continued on to the site. Jul 12, 2009 - The tour arrives

Woke up to emergency vehicles pulling up outside the van -- something was up with teh bunch of basques across the road from us -- Nothing serious it would appear but at least it got our attention and we are up ! After walking up to La Mongie and getting some pre race calories to help us focus on the race we were amazed by how many more vehicles had actually found inches here and there to squeeze their cars into -- I would guess for the last 5 kms (to the top) there are vehicles on both sides of the road. Jul 11, 2009 - parked up a mountain

Hello Folks !! Well I picked up Jimbo at Gerona and we hightailed it to the Tourmalet -- We parked in a Aire just off the Autoroute which at Midnight had been quiet and after driving for 6 hours or so enough was enough.( we stopped for some food and a gas stop ) I had to give Jim my bed since he's as tall lying down as standing up and I tried sleeping in the driving seat -- That didn't work so I tried to make the other bed that goes across the cabin with the dining table comprising most of the centre -- That was a bit better and I think I...
