May 23, 2009 - Vendome and Montoire

After a promising start to the day the clouds began to roll in. We went into the old part of town which is domintated by the church of La Trinité (12th-15th C.), with a richly decorated facade. The church has beautiful stained glass and 15th- 16th C. choir-stalls. There is also a relic of a Renaissance church which was pulled down in 1857 and also the Chapelle du Lycée (1452).
