The boat moved along the Seine River last night downstream toward the Atlantic. We stopped at Conflans at about 3 am. So we awoke in the morning to a new French town. Conflans means confluence and is the confluence of 3 rivers: the Seine, the Oise and the Epte; referred to as the Rivers of Light. It was here that the Impressionist artists flocked to paint landscapes and scenes that have become so recognizable around the world.
