Feb 21, 2014 - On the road north again

We were on the road by 9.30am. An early start for us. Despite rain for the first part of the journey as we headed north the weather cleared so we had a dry run. It was a long day. We travelled 292 miles and the last bit was slow as we hit the Friday afternoon traffic through Chartres and Dreux. We were heading for an aire in Brezolles we had used on the way down. We knew this aire was popular and as we got later we worried that it might be full. We arrived in Brezolles about 4.30pm to find the aire empty so we were able to pick our spot....

Nov 8, 2013 - Continuing to head south and Boondocking the French way!

We headed south once again. The weather at the moment is very wet but not too cold but it was better to get away from the coast and the strong winds. We are just getting used to the French roads. The motorways/dual carriage ways are fine (usually designated as A of N roads) although some of the motorways are tolled and can work out quite expensive particularly for a big thing like us.
