Some quick notes as I wasn't able to send yesterday. Visited three Bretagne churches. Which are quite different but have in common a close proximity, a sense of the Baroque in the interior, a baptistery within the church, and a Calvery outside. Both the calveries and the the inside of the church are directed at teaching. The calveries have the scenes of the Passion with the figures in granite, while inside the paintings especially around the side altars show scenes from both the new and old testaments, Adam and Eve always featuring in some...

just a quick catch up as signal is bad We are hoping to go to Cameret today at 1300 as the wind has dropped Previously 3rd in Treguier 4th sightseeing in Treguier 5th Roscoff had to tow a French boat in with failed engine 6th L Aber Wrach 7th bus to Brest sightseeing as too windy and stormy to sail

Jun 3, 2014 - Well wrapped up . Is it summer yet?

On the way from Guernsey to Treguier in Northern Brittany. We had a good sail today and timed our arrival at Trguier so that we had a rising tide to get us over all the rocks and sandbanks up the river? Mooring was fun because of a strong current and no bow thruster. Thankfully we were assisted by some friendly French chaps and lovely Bob from Exeter. The following day we had a walk around the lovely town and the cathedral . Rain and more rain with some sun throughout the day so a good day to spend on the land!
