Sat 30th May---Weather:-a pleasant 27? degrees Lurcy le Bourgh is a charming little hamlet not far from Bourges in the French country side, if you travel on for about another 3 to 4km along country lanes, abundant with birds and wild flowers you reach a little 3 farmhouse town called Le Pisserotte and that is where my cousin and family have bought the ‘out buildings’ (barn, etc) and an acre of land from an old farmer who because of his artistic leanings wanted to spend more of his time in the pursuit of art then maintaining these huge old...

May 29, 2009 - Millau to Lurcy-le-Bourg

Fri 29th May---Weather:-27 degrees/Sunny Millau to Lurcy-le-Bourgh (411km) (4:47h) Leaving Nice yesterday morning to get to Millau our first impressions of the countryside was that it looked very dry and arid. Herman commented that if you replaced some of the trees with gum trees and eucalyptus you could believe that you were in South Australia but shortly after we headed up north all around us turned greener with all sorts of flowers growing along the road side.
