We were expecting the run from Rodez to be easy and very pretty all the way to our stopover in Vichy but hadn't counted on a stuffed tyre at the get-go. Davy was 'gently' reminded that he had swiped a corner gutter while parking the night before and this was the probable cause of the tyre dilemma. Dah !!! We had the spare fitted in a matter of minutes and were back on the road and looking for a tyre shop. Some 200kms later we finally found one that was open. May 24, 2014 - Vichy

Today was a day for errands, faire des courses. I am known now at the local MonoPrix, supermarche, and I have managed to understand and easily use the laundromat, la blanchisserie. I even helped a woman from Paris with her laundry today, and we had a good conversation about restaurants. Very exciting day!

Nov 1, 2010 - Vichy

We awake early and take a last, long sigh looking out the window on the river. After a brief continental breakfast, we head for Le Cap d Agde and – surprise – hundreds of condominiums and boats! We were in the old city last night. It’s a lovely protected bay on the Mediterranean. Mark suggests it may be the last time we see it in our lives, so we sink into enjoying the view, and life, before moving on. It was a special time here.
