Today we followed the recommendation of our campground hosts and headed south to the small town of Brantome situated on the Dronne River. The town is known as the Venice of Perigord (The name of the local area surrounding it) and has a mixture of Medieval and Renaissance architecture. The weather was dull, grey and cold. The town was very quiet but we enjoyed wandering the old streets and along the river banks.
