The following morning we set off on the Yasawa Flyer heading for the Fijian island group called the Yasawas. ... Didn’t see any mantarays - what a disappointment - and after exchanging travel tips with another couple we headed to Oarsman’s Bay Lodge, from where we took a trip to “The Blue Lagoon” (there was an old film of the same name set there) which is very much like all of the other beaches in the Yasawas. ... This time the evening entertainment consisted of limbo dancing (I got to the final round before losing to a rather bendy and short Irishman) and musical statues (Lisa came second…so close to a free drink) - not played that for about 20 years! For our last night in the Yasawa Islands we stayed at Octopus Island Resort . ... Incredible! The following afternoon (after a final couple of snorkels and lounging in the sun) we left the Yasawas and headed back to the mainland feeling very refreshed having definitely been in need of a holiday. ...
