Land Ho! We awoke to find ourselves entering Stanley harbor on our approach to Stanley. ... 2/5 – 2/7 Two days of fairly rough seas (15 to 18 foot swells and 45 mph winds) brought us to Stanley in the Falkland Islands. ... Yesterday was quite the exciting day, we disembarked at Stanley, capital of the Falkland Islands, site of the 1982 war between Argentina and Great Britain. ... We walked around this town and ended up eating a Chilean restaurant, the best in Stanley, according to locals. ...
