The image I conjure when hear the term "oasis" is one formed in my childhood thanks to Bugs Bunny cartoons and old Sinbad the Sailor movies so I was filled with both curosity and apprehension on the long bus ride from Alex to the Siwa oasis. If the Siwa Oasis proves disappointing then I'll have to revise my entire philosophy on life and well. ... Many travellers we have met along the way call the Siwa Oasis the most beautiful place on earth. ...
