12/12/08 The truck carried us away from the magical monuments of ancient Egypt to the Sinai Peninsula, past the Suez Canal, which provides a shortcut from Europe and Africa to Asia by connecting the Mediterranean and the Red Sea, and Mt. Dahab, our stopping point on the eastern side of the peninsula, was a cute beachy town with lots of cafes and shops lining crystal blue waters. ...
