Second day in Cairo and what a day!! We took a cab to the Al-Azhar market and as we started through the old part (not the tourist part) a young student gave us some directions and then proceeded to take us through the smallest streets and, tiny alleys that at times where so dirty and smelly we wondered if we would ever come out alive. ... Of course we did and we saw some parts of Cairo that most tourists never see and although we may have had our doubts as to what was happening and where we were, we loved every minute of it. ... From the moment the student latched on to us we knew there would be a Papyrus shop at the end of it and we were not disappointed.Second day in Cairo and what a day!!
