Nov 21, 2007 - The Sub Tropical Cloud Forest at Bellavista
From our Imbabura location hacienda hotel we travelled back to Quito and out again along a concession coast road to the turn off for Bellavista, visiting a specialist orchid display area en route. The concession roads unlike most others have good surfaces and are maintained very well - tolls are normally 1 dollar for long stretches. Workers are vigilant in clearing landslides where the roads pass through mountainous areas. Double yellow lines mean nothing when drivers catch up with slow moving lorries.
