hello Family and Friends, We finally left the Luperon,D.R, anchorage at 7 pm, in a hurry before exiting the anchorage in the dark,dodging the 150 boats in our path. We only returned after 2 hrs of only 2knots,so making our way back in only 15mins! We re-anchored in time to watch the thunderstorms,glad we aborted. hi Family and Friends, We have had beautiful weather for our stay in Luperon.The very early mornings are usually rainy making for clear and sunny skies for the remainder of the day. All day their is a constant breeze comming into the bay that keeps us cool. At night around 8 pm the incoming ocean breeze stops and you get the mountian /shore breeze from the other direction. At night is completly calm and great sleeping weather, even need a blanket around 5 am. We are anchored near the government dock so we see a lot of traffic, fishing boats...

Bahia Samaná is located in the far northeastern corner of the Dominican Republic and was rather isolated until only recently when a newly constructed highway cut the driving time from the capital of Santo Domingo from five hours to two.
