Hello from the beautiful Danish city of Ronne which is situated on a smallish island known as Bornholm. Its a typical danish "village" for the most part, with houses of red tiled roofs and colorful exteriors. For the most part Bornholm is a summer get-away place for those from Germany and Denmark but it has an appeal of its own in the fall when the streets are quiet, the locals are out and the stores are not battling hundreds of people daily. I think the pace is much slower and I apprectiate that. Before I forget.....we were in Stockholm...

Jul 18, 2005 - Sakskobing

Start: Germany End: Sakskobing Weather: Overcast then some sun Ride: 95km The ferry arrived in Denmark at 5pm, just as the tourist information bureau was shutting shop. Decided not to disturb them, given the lack of a formal arrangement for bikes on the ferry, I didn't expect the bureau to have cycle touring info. Followed a sign to Maribo because I knew this was in the right direction for where I was heading. Before proceeding I visited an ATM to stock up on Danish Kroners (no Euros here!) and a supermarket to stock up on food. The price...
