Monday 1st June. Is that a break in the clouds? There was no doubt about it. We found that our hotel was only 50 yards from the main gate into Telc which is a pedestrian zone. It was not yet hot but we only needed a pullover and off we went to explore. A real experience! The girl in the Information office showered us with maps and brochures and to be honest we didn’t need them as the old town is located in the centre of a lake with bridges at the two ends back to dry land. Jun 4, 2009 - The three bears

Tuesday 2nd June. What a day! This morning we walked into town through the trees alive with bird song. Taking the path we climbed the 500ft to the Castle gardens which are divided into three sections. The section furthest from the castle contains a large lake covered in water lilies with several sorts of duck making it their home. The lake is at the end of a wild wood containing many varieties of trees and filled with wildlife. Time in transit often gives us an opportunity to plan for our next destination, think back to our past travels, talk about pretty much nothing or... create lists! Between Cesky Krumlov and Pisek we listed luxuries...
