Sep 5, 2009 - Holy Mountains Batman!!!

Well, when we left the Danube River we were looking for a challenge and did we ever get it!!! Once we left Hungary, our first stop in Croatia was the town of Varazdin, where they were having their big summer festival. We were very happy to have disc brakes on our bikes as the roads were marked as 18% grades and I think they may have underestimated!!!! Our first stop was the island of Krk, which we reached by riding over a huge causeway. ... It is a toll bridge and we got waved through without paying but then we set off all the sirens!!!
