Plitvice Lakes Croatia We drove through the middle of Croatia and headed through some hill and mountainy areas. Driving through the countryside we realized that there are large areas of unpopulated empty land in Europe. I was surprised by this. It was good to see, even though I don’t think the boys appreciated the long drives. We had heard that the Plitvice lakes were a sight we should see. We stayed about 15km south of the lakes. Jul 5, 2009 - Karlobag

Karlobag We drove back to Karlobag which is about half way up the coast of Croatia. Nothing much planned for here but swimming, snorkelling, reading and maybe a local restaurant. It was a challenge but we managed all we had planned and swam with whales and dolphins. We did - see the photos!
