Approaching Zargreb and still very wet and windy now as well. Passing through beautiful forests though and all around surprisingly lush. Lots of grapes and other crops but no animals. No camp sites unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately in this weather) so found Pensione "AS" which is cheap and very good. Watched the Croation version of Shortland St while we did our journals and drank Ozuljana Piva. More soon, Matt.

There are times in one's life where one just has to forage into the unknown. Go on a little blind faith that all will work out. Saturday was one of those days. The Canadian Legad and I had agreed to go into Croatia to locate a memorial to a soldier from the PPCLI (Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry) who had died in a vehicle accident while on a tour in Bosnia in 1993.
