We had a good nights sleep, woke up before the 6:00 am alarm and headed off to the ferry terminal that was listed in our Lonely Planet Guide book. Turns out they were heading to Montezuma, so they offered us a ride. ... May 26, 2009 - Costa Rica: Manual Antonio and Dominical
We have spent the last week sunning ourselves on the Pacific Coast. Happy to leave Quepos, we moved down the coast to a small surfer village called Dominical where there isn't much happening and the waves are enormous. ... Have been doing very little except Chris has been surfing a few times, trying to relive his glory days with marginal success and a little sunburn! Tomorrow we head back to the capital San Jose for a couple of days before flying to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.We have spent the last week sunning ourselves on the Pacific Coast. Apr 10, 2009 - The great Rio Sierpe Lodge Mis-adventure
So, our Rio Sierpe Lodge was quite a place. ... It was on the southwestern coast of Costa Rica and once we drove to the little town of Sierpe, we took a boat to the lodge. ... We waited for our transport boat and we sensed a bit of a problem when we saw a guy get out of an old funky boat with the lodge t-shirt on and realized that he was the owner of the lodge! He was a friendly guy and as we talked before getting to the lodge, we realized that he ran the entire operation by himself.So, our Rio Sierpe Lodge was quite a place. ...
