May 20, 2009 - Costa Rica: Tortuguero

We left Puerto Viejo a little later than planned due to 16 hours of straight rain that we decided would slightly dampen the four hour boat ride to Tortuguero. Tortuguero National Park is located in the north of the country on the Caribbean coast, in the middle of nowhere, and is a mini-amazon filled with crocodiles, monkeys, sloths, turtles and birds. ... Was up at the crack of dawn today, collected at 6am by a shuttle for a 3 day tour booked to Tortuguero National Park, on the Carribbean coast of Costa Rica. ...
