History: Rarotango is the sleepy capital of the Cook Islands. Once a New Zealand colony, it’s needle -like rock, Te Aua Manga, pierces the sky from the island’s center. First little glitch in our trip, tried to tender to Rarotonga but Mother Nature said no, ocean swells to big so only got a sea view, now on our way to Tonga but not before we cross the International Date Line.

Sep 6, 2007 - Kia Orana from the Cook Islands

After our nine hour layover in Los Angeles... We finally arrived in the Cook Islands. The weather has been great except for about three days of overcast/rainy days...we actually had to wear our light jackets while on the scooter as it was actually kind of cool. Otherwise when the sun has been out it has been about 26 Celsius...although it feels much hotter. We spent 6 days on Aitutaki and had an amazing time on a tour of the lagoon with Teking Lagoon Tours.
