Oct 16, 2005 - Lhasa - Day 8 - Expedition Over
Stopped off for a quick hand wash of the motor before heading into Lhasa, the tibetan girl cleaning it managed to throw water all over me, which she found hilarious, but it was real hot in the sun so that soon disappeared, had a munch on this small looking peach thing that Sani gave me, it was disgusting bitter as anything, so munched on these lush sour skittles that I have been eating all over Tibet. ... Eventually got to Lhasa about half one after Sani kept stopping for his mate to catch up. ... After surviving the begging stretch of the street, Lhasa is full of Tibatans begging real bad to see but I follow a strict no money to beggers policy, after seeing this kid being sent by her mum to beg off some chinese bloke, when the bloke gave her some money the mum suddenly got up and ran after him as she knew he was a giver and tried scrounging some more off him, a ruddy joke I tell you. ... Jul 9, 2005 - Mountain Biking in Tibet
