Lhasa - capital of Tibet Weather - warm!! was 20C during the day.. and sunny Everyone enjoyed lhasa, lots of culture, lots of cheap chinese knock off gear shops - windstopper fleeces for 15 quid - not quite as good as the 170 quid version in the UK shops.. Potala crowded but definitely worth a visit, lots and lots of tibetans making pilgramages to see the seat of the dala lama. Also the Jokang temple the most holy of the temples in the tibetan buddhist culture. Great place, but the foods a bit naff, too much Yak in there diet (Yak is tough...

We met our group and after waiting for about an hour left for the border. We had an interesting mix of people in our group - 2 Italian men who were planning to cycle back to Kathmandu, a Spanish man making a documentary, a business man from Kathmandu and his friend, a Scottish/Indonesian pop singer from Thailand, an owner of a modeling company from the Phillipeans, a Russian man who was trying to get to areas where tourists were not permitted to go, a couple of professional photographers, a couple who worked on luxurious yachts, and Mat and...
