Chengdu was AMAZING! When we got off the plane from Xian to Chengdu it was a short ride. ... Next to her was Mei Mei's mother so we visited, and then we went in a official car, because Mei Mei's father is a big part in Chengdu, so he has a special licence plate. ... So we went to dinner at a special place, and we met up with Mei Mei's father, but that place isnt privite but when you are with almost like a govener, he can get a private room.Chengdu was AMAZING! After a bit of a bumpy start in Chengdu, we have finally located a couple of super helpful tour agents (who speak English!!!!!) that have practically changed our lives - and our itinerary. ... we leave Chengdu on Monday morning and get to go to Lhasa - a place that we thought was impossible to get to less than 48 hours ago. ... Today, sadly we had to leave Tibet, feeling that there was more to experience and see. We arrived in Chengdu about 1 o’clock and immediately a second lunch (after the smallish airline meal) was the order of the day. ...
