From Suzhou we drove directly the industrial city of Wuxi, a satellite town that has been built up around an ancient Chinese fishing village on the northern bank of Lake Tai, a large inland lake famous for fresh water pearls and fast becoming a manufacturing hub in this region. Oct 25, 2016 - Suzhou - Wuxi

After enjoying the beauty of the Gardens, some of our more thirsty companions found a beer store just across the street and bought supplies for the group who piled back into the bus to heading on to our next destination before retiring to our hotel, the fabulous Pan Pacific in Suzhou. We had been warned by Sky that the building was designed in the format of a medieval Chinese castle and the room layout was a little confusing but were not prepared for what we experienced. May 27, 2010 - Cases Factory

We had to wake up at 6:30 to go to a small town(6 million people) called Wuxi, where they have 2 factory's that make the Okaley cases and 1 that made Luxottica / Oakley and other major brands. The first factory mainly did cleaning cloth for Ray-Ban. That factory also had a machine that can make the polyester thread into microfiber sheets. After we had our meeting the owner took us out to a famous lunch spot in Wuxi. Which was built inside a greenhouse. Jul 3, 2008 - Day 7 - Xi'an to Wuxi

We said our goodbyes to Linda and our driver. Linda was actually getting ready to leave for a 50 day trip to the United States to visit her sister on July 4th. Our flight from Xi'an to Shanghai took about 2 hours. When we landed at Shanghai, our gate was at the very end of the terminal and walked for what seemed like 1/2 mile before meeting with our guide.
