Jul 26, 2007 - Lantau Explorer Tour

As we didn't have too long in Hong Kong we had decided to take a day long tour to see as much as we could, so we booked ourselves onto the Lantau island explorer tour. Tai O is also known as "Venice of the East" and was once the largest inhabited settlement on Lantau Island. ... The villages stilt houses on the waterfront show a view to Hong Kong's history and a really stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of the modern city.As we didn't have too long in Hong Kong we had decided to take a day long tour to see as much as we could, so we booked ourselves onto the Lantau island explorer tour.
