Oct 7, 2006 - Great Wall of China

Today was definitely the most amazing day of the tour so far! We walked on the Great Wall of China. Up and on the bus at 7.45 (was supposed to be 7 am but some of us slept in - oops) arriving at our starting point, Jinshanling, at 10.30. Took a cable car to reach the start of our walk and then walked 10 km to the finish point, Simatai. Really is a bit indescribable but it was amazing to be walking along a wall that had been built centuries ago and was still standing. Neat to see it stretch into the distance as far as I could see.
